I'm heading out tomorrow and will meet up with Isabelle in Haiti where we will overlap for a couple of days before she heads home. Based on Isabelle's recommendations I think I have all the essentials: maple syrup--check, yoga mat--check, malaria pills--check, clothing...an after thought, squeezed in between my 10 pairs of shoes! It's hard to say goodbye, but I'm very excited for the work ahead of me, and for what undoubtedly will be quite an adventure.
